Terms of Service
Effective October 14, 2026
These terms cover the website plans offered by Little Shop Sites ("we", "us") to businesses. By subscribing to a plan you ("you", the business) agree to them. Our plans are for businesses, not for personal or household use. If anything here is unclear, email us at mikethompson.sites@gmail.com before you subscribe.
1. The service
We design, publish and host a one-page website for your business. The Website plan includes the website, hosting and a web address we provide. The Website + Own Domain plan adds a domain name registered in your name.
2. Free samples
We may build a free sample website for your business from information you have made public, such as your Google Business listing and Facebook page. Samples are clearly marked as samples, hidden from search engines, and taken down after about two weeks, or sooner if you ask. A sample creates no obligation for you.
3. Billing
- Plans are billed in advance, monthly or yearly, through our payment processor, Stripe. There is no setup fee.
- Prices do not include sales tax. Where tax applies, it is added at checkout and shown before you pay.
- Your plan renews automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel.
- If we ever change our prices, we will tell you by email at least 30 days before the change applies to you.
- Missed payments: if a payment fails, Stripe will retry it and email you over about two weeks. If it still hasn't gone through, we may take your site offline until it is paid, and remove it if it is still unpaid 30 days after that.
4. Cancelling
You can cancel at any time, by email or using the link on your receipt. There is no contract and no cancellation fee. When you cancel, you will not be charged again. Monthly plans: your site stays online until the end of the month you have paid for, and that payment is not refunded. Yearly plans: we refund the remaining full months of your year, not counting the month you are in, and your site stays online until the end of that month.
5. Updates and changes
Your opening hours, including holiday closures, are kept in line with your Google Business listing: change them there and we update your site. Other small updates are included in every plan, for example phone number, photos and wording. Send them by email. Larger changes, such as new pages or a redesign, are not included; we will quote them first and do nothing without your agreement.
6. Your domain
On the Website + Own Domain plan, the domain is registered in your name and belongs to you. We renew it while your plan is active. If you cancel, the domain remains yours: we will unlock it and send you its transfer code, so you can move it to any registrar you choose. (Newly registered domains can only be moved after 60 days; that is an industry rule.) After that, renewing it is your responsibility.
7. Your content
You are responsible for the accuracy of the information on your site and for having the right to use any photos, logos or text you give us. We will correct anything you tell us is wrong. We may remove content that is unlawful or that infringes someone else's rights.
8. Ownership of the website
Your business name, logo, photos and information remain yours. The design and code of the site are provided as part of the service while your plan is active.
9. Availability
We use established hosting providers and work to keep your site online, but we cannot promise it will be available at every moment. We are not liable for lost business caused by outages outside our reasonable control. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the issue arose.
10. Ending the service
We may stop offering the service, or end your plan, with at least 30 days' notice by email. If we do, we will stop billing you, refund any unused part of a yearly plan, send you your website's files, and unlock your domain and send you its transfer code (it is already yours). If you break these terms, for example by asking us to publish unlawful content, we may end your plan sooner, with notice by email.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change affects you, we will email you before it takes effect. Continuing your plan after that means you accept the updated terms.
12. Notices and transfer
We send notices, such as price changes, ending the service or changes to these terms, to the email address on your account, and you can send yours to the address below. If Little Shop Sites is ever sold or handed to someone else, your plan and these terms may be transferred to them; we will tell you by email first.
13. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, USA.
